Diploma in Christian Studies (27 semester hours)
The Diploma in Christian Studies program provides a flexible program at the graduate level to meet individual needs in biblical, theological and ministry studies.
Mission
The Diploma in Christian Studies program provides a flexible program at the graduate level to meet individual needs in biblical, theological and ministry studies. This Diploma is a thirty-semester hour program with flexibility to meet individual in-service needs, especially those students desiring a non-thesis project type of program. If the student works carefully with his/her advisor, a large part of this program could be applied to a more advanced degree. Even if the Diploma is a terminal program, the student is expected to plan with his/her advisor a coherent emphasis or option that meets the student’s needs.
Goals
The Diploma in Christian Studies offers the following opportunities for students actively engaged in witness and ministry:

Admission Requirements
- An undergraduate degree or its equivalent is normally required for admission.
- A maximum of six (6) semester hours of correspondence courses can be applied to the program.
- A maximum of six (6) of transfer credit can be is allowed in the Diploma program.
- Students who have less than 6 semester hours of undergraduate biblical and theological studies will be required to complete BIE 500 Introduction to the Bible (2) and THS 540 Introduction to Theology (2) as prerequisites before taking additional Bible and Theology courses. An additional prerequisite course is RES 500 Research Strategies (1). All prerequisites stated in any course descriptions will also be apply.
- Students for whom English is a second language must attain a TOEFL score of 100 iBT (with 23 minimum in each category of Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing) and in addition will be required normally to participate in the English Writing Lab to assist them in the completion of their assignments.
Graduation Requirements
- Completion of all academic requirements with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50.
- Payment of all tuition, fees and other financial responsibilities.
- Evidence of consistent Christian character, conduct and biblical fatih and recommendation accordingly by the faculty and adjunct mentors.
