Life at ACTS

BEAUTIFUL & SERENE

We’re blessed with a beautiful rich network of organizational relationships. Our work is enriched by cooperation with ministry agencies, several of which are based on our campus and linked directly to our degree programs. We are also privileged to serve as a division of the Trinity Western University and are consequently able to draw on its many on-campus resources.

Our Students

Our student body is diverse.  Many different denominations but united around one common mission – God’s will done on earth as it is in heaven. Students are prepared to make an impact in their ministries whether they be in the church, para-church, academy, or in the professional workplace.

Our Library

Seminary-related library holdings are integrated into the larger Norma Marion Alloway Library at TWU, housing over 130,000 monographs (including about 60,000 in Bible and theology) and a full range of microform and electronic research resources.

ACTS students are able to receive borrowing privileges at other major university libraries in Western Canada because of our membership in C.O.P.P.U.L. Reciprocal agreements with Regent College and Columbia Bible College libraries also permit students to use those resources.

Our Resources

We’re located on Trinity Western University campus, which has a beautiful 100-acre spread, complete with walking trails, a lake, outdoor study areas, sports fields, tennis courts, gymnasium, library, study lounges, cafeteria, and of course classrooms.

The campus is located in northern Langley, 45 minutes from downtown Vancouver, 30 min from the Canada US border, 45 min from skiing, 20 min from the ocean beach and  from camping spots. Whenever you need a study break, the beautiful lower mainland is waiting.

Seminary offices and classrooms are located in the Fosmark Building at TWU, built in 1993 to house ACTS.

Forsmark is also where all the classrooms are.

ACTS Buildingclassroom

The University’s graduate collegium (upscale study lounge) is located within Fosmark as well, providing the ACTS community with a warm space to gather, study, and hang-out.

The Graduate Collegium is intentionally designed to meet both the physical and social needs of commuting graduate students, it allows students to connect with faculty and fellow students in a starbucks-like atmosphere.

It has a fully-stoked honour kitchen, separate fully furnished study offices, modern furniture, computer and printing stations, free Wifi, and even a BBQ.

Chair Collegium

Within the larger Norma Marion Alloway Library at TWU, seminary-related holdings include 130,000 books (including about 60,000 volumes in Bible and theology) as well as a growing collection of thousands of e-books and e-journals. ACTS students are able to receive borrowing privileges at other major university libraries in Western Canada because of our membership in C.O.P.P.U.L. Reciprocal agreements with Regent College and Columbia Bible College libraries also permit students to use those resources.
