Immerse Master of Divinity

Immerse is a four-year Master of Divinity program that engages you within a local ministry context for a journey of biblical and theological reflection, skill development and personal growth, helping you build the character and knowledge essential to ministry leadership.

What’s Different About Immerse?
Immerse integrates biblical and theological knowledge with leadership skills and real-world application. Unlike a traditional MDiv program, Immerse trains and equips you within a church setting and allows you to customize your program to tailor-fit your ministry practice and life calling.

Competency-Based Learning Model
Live out your academic assignments in the context of your life and ministry through the Immerse competency-based learning model. Guided by a team of mentors, work through a series of carefully-crafted learning experiences that help you accumulate and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and character required in ministry leadership.

Partnership with the Church
Immerse is based on partnership between ACTS Seminaries, denominational networks and local churches working together to develop effective curriculum, mentor students through the program and ultimately, endorse graduates for positions of pastoral influence.

“The Immerse program is helping to highlight my ministry strengths, as well as tending to areas that need growth. I am on a journey to keep learning, keep improving, and serve our Lord as best I can, in the context He has called me and gifted me. ”

Admissions

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum 2.5 GPA (on a 4.0 GPA scale). (Note: a limited number of applicants from unaccredited colleges or applicants without bachelor degrees may be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis).

A call to ministry and an active ministry context. The Immerse MDiv requires students to be engaged in a ministry context where they can practice and demonstrate the knowledge and skills required in an MDiv program.

A student is eligible to graduate from the Immerse MDiv when they have demonstrated mastery of all the Ministry Learning Objectives in the program. Mastery of the Ministry Learning Objectives is determined by the academic and ministry mentors on an ongoing basis as the student moves through the program. The program is designed to be completed in four years.
