We’re excited to share some significant developments for ACTS Seminaries going forward. After careful consideration, we will be undergoing changes to enhance your theological education experience.
We plan to ask ATS to move the governance and control of ACTS to TWU and TWU will open a TWU School of Theology. The ACTS partner seminaries and affiliate schools will continue to serve their denominations and constituencies, providing quality theological education in a variety of forms that may include continued partnership with TWU in some programs.
Here is what will be happening in the future:
We have submitted a Petition for Change in Control to ATS on April 1, 2024
A transition plan outline will be implemented by June 24, 2024
ATS will visit us in fall 2024 to ensure a smooth transition for you.
The transfer vote is scheduled for February 2025
Pending approval, the TWU School of Theology will launch on May 1, 2026
